Welcome to our website. My husband and I have always been animal lovers, and there was never a time growing up when I didn’t have at least a dog, cat, and pony or horse. I started researching, and discovered Papillons. And the rest, as they say, is “history” .While we do still have one Golden, several cats and a couple horses, after my husband, Papillons are now the true love of my life.

We always strive for the better of the breed through selective breeding for health, temperment and conformation. The Papillons in our homes are not “kennel” dogs. They are handled and worked with daily.
Two generations of our family care for and work with dogs. We now focus on two breeds – border terriers and papillons. Both breeds have wonderful qualities which align with our interests and lifestyles. We are striving to develop physically and mentally sound dogs that are suitable for all types of homes and functions, whether it is exhibiting in the conformation ring, excelling in performance sports, or thriving as a loving companion.
We’ve been raising Papillons since 2004 and feel we’ll always have more to learn. We’ve done some showing and really enjoy the experience of it.I have to say raising Papillons is more of an expensive hobby than a job but, they bring us so many smiles and experiences.We’re so happy to share them with you!
We are show breeders. We love dog shows and exhibiting our dogs. We do a very limited amount of breeding. We strive to breed dogs that are not only beautiful, but also healthy, sound, and most importantly meet the AKC standard for the Papillon. Papillons should be lively and friendly, and temperaments are very important to me and our breed!
I have been breeding and showing Papillons under the Cilloette prefix since 1977. With just a small breeding program, independent of partnerships, I bred 32 AKC champion Papillons plus a Canadian champion, Ch. Cilloette Top Secret. I also put champion titles on 6 that were not bred by me, 3 of which were English imports. I hope to continue in my strife to perfect the breed by preserving their beauty, elegance, intelligence, wonderful outgoing temperaments, and working to keep the breed healthy and safe from harm.
With over 35 years of experience breeding and exhibiting many different breeds, we have dedicated the last 15 years to working exclusively with papillons. Toon Town papillons have been placed with special families throughout the country who love them for their beauty, bright personalities, and loving natures. We breed on an extremely limited basis, but do occasionally have outstanding pets and retired show dogs available to approved homes.

We are a small Papillon breeder with just a few Papillons that are part of our family and live in our home with us. Karen has the privilege of staying at home with our Papillons. Papillons are the only breed we raise. Good homes are a must for our puppies. All of our adults have eye, heart and patella certification. Our Papillons are AKC and UKC registered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, dewclaws removed and checked by our veterinarian.

Welcome to J Bar Papillons, in Roswell New Mexico, where I strive to produce Papillons that are sound in structure and in temperament with all the frills and elegance that make the Papillon breed what it is. I strive to meet the breed standard in producing show quality puppies. I cannot keep them all, therefore, some of my show quality puppies are placed in companion homes if no show-homes take an interest.
We are a small select kennel based in San Antonio, Texas. All my dogs have CHIC numbers, all are tested and certified for Patella and Heart and are DNA tested for both PRA1 and neuroaxonal dystrophy (NAD).

With the help and guidance of mentors Lee and Bee Beeson we were able to acquire our foundation Papillons and experience the dog show world. Our goal is to breed quality animals and to be good ambassadors for the breed and to promote these wonderful companions. We recently qualified to be an AKC Breeder of Merit.
I have a clear devotion and passion for papillons of elegance and perfection. Even though good looks are a prerequisite for good results at dog shows, I consider a healthy construction and a sound temperament of utmost importance as well.
